Unlucky lads

First of all I want to say I'm a Bristol City fan, but I want to follow it up by saying I live in Cardiff, my partner is a Cardiff lass and we have two kids. Just wanted to point that out before you started thinking I'm here to rub salt in the wounds.

I watched both games yesterday with my step brother (who is a Cardiff City fan) and I think he was a bit taken back by how much I wanted you lads to win. I'm genuinely gutted for you all and I really hoped you'd be going up automatically.
One thing I will say is I know the wounds are still wide open but stay positive, QPR may get a points deduction and even if they don't you have the play offs ahead and now is not the time to lose faith.

The first year Bristol City got into the Championship we lost out in the play off finals to Hull and they wasted their chance to solidify themselves as a Premier League team which was heart breaking for me as we lost out and the team who didn't went on to waste it. I got shed loads of abuse from some of your fans about us losing but having met so many Cardiff fans I took it on the chin. It seems though that now Blackpool are doing the same as Hull and I'm feeling what I felt with my own team for you lads as I watched that play off final in town, cheering you lads on.

This is where our clubs go a different way though, we've gone from a strong team to a weaker team each season and you've remained up there fighting for promotion and whilst I'm sure you're angry after yesterday's poor game you still have the play offs and a Premier League dream very much alive!

Keep your heads up, try and stay positive and most of all support DJ until he's no longer your man at the helm because getting rid of a manager can have dire results, just look at us, we had a squad capable of promotion this season and then cop out left us high and dry and now we have Keith Millen who doesn't have what it takes to ever get is promotion.

I guess what I'm saying is don't let this get you down, Cardiff City still have the chance to have a Premier League bage on their shoulders next season and even if it doesn't happen you still have a club capable of getting there one day.

You speak a lot of sense there Mate and as i posted yesterday now is not the time for recriminations because if we turn on the Manager and players we will just implode. We still have 2 chances of promotion and we absolutely have to win at Burnley Saturday because:

1. If we get 3rd position and QPR get deducted a lot of points we could still go up automatically (A long shot but not impossible)

2. We stll definitely have the Play Offs so a good result and performance at Burnley is important to give us impetus going into those games because we have a team capable of beating any side in that Division if we play to our full potential.

So yes yesterday was shocking and devastating for all concerned but it was not terminal and could just be a massive kick up the arse for all concerned which could still push us to promotion :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:
