Everyone saying " bottled it" but

was that really the case ? I don't think it was anything to do with " bottle" I thought the players showed bottle , not a great free flowing performance but the bottle was there .

Really though? I would struggle to believe that one.

we had everything to play for. but the team played for nothing, the first 10min of the second half was about as good as it got. i think the players think the fa are going to hand them promotion

i would say they bottled it but perhaps like other posters have said they may have had to much of the bottle over the weekend.

Our defence bottled it the first 15 mins, our mdfiled couldnt string even 2 passes together and our strike force werent quick enough pulling the trigger and the delivery into the box was poor even from bellamy, i would say thats bottling it!!

Have to say the ref and the lineswomen did us no favours what so ever!!

It didn't flow I agree but wasn't down to bottle. First half there were a couple of things if they had come off early on , the game could have been different. But that's football , you can't expect it every 90 mins of every game , Personally I would have put Hudson back in and put Mcnaughton back at left back, especially after the QPR game. Could have made a difference today, but there again why change a winning side would be the other argument. Bad day at the office thats for sure and probably not the best day to have and off one but at the same time theres still a long way to go yet . And if we are totally honest both QPR and Norwich have looked good all season. Both been good sides. 3rd place via the play offs will be a deserved position if you overlook the season.

Middlesbourgh had two good players with great feet and ability on the ball up front - yes they troubled the defence but they in fairness had a good first half . Agree regards midfield , got over run and Oli was having a poor one for sure , defence i would have set out with Hudson starting, but hindsight is a wonderful thing.

As for all these drinking stories - come on, even if they were out Friday night as suggested - plenty of time to recover being a Monday game.

Rusty performance for sure no doubt against unfortunatley a good side who i bet they had played like that all season!

People are saying "we were shite" and "we bottled it.". Does the thought, "Middlesbrough were good?" cross anyone's mind?

They were good I agree mate i bet Mowbry must be going home wondering why they havent been all season. Strong midfield , and 2 very good technical players up front.

The team bottled it or should I say our defence did.

Middlesborough in the 1st 20 minutes had 3 attacks. From them they scored 3 goals. Why because our defence did not put a foot in, that is they froze and let the Boro attackers in.

Our first chance fell to Bothroyd who was denied by a challenging Boro foot. A challenge that was lacking in the Cardiff defence because basically they bottled it.
