Q.P.R. Transfer Embargo

Mon May 02, 2011 11:50 am

Sorry to start another Q.P.R. thread, but having read so many threads about possible points deductions and fines it only dawned on me yesterday that nobody has mentioned a possible transfer embargo. When you think about it, it could be logical for the F.A. to impose this as a fair punishment, that way Q.P.R. are effectivley relegated already, as they wont be able to strengthen their squad (including signing Routledge and Miller permanently) and the F.A. dont have to worry about deducting points and cocking up the play-offs. Whether this happens or not i don't know but i seem to remember Chelsea getting done for signing Kakuta (who scored on the weekend and first got me thinking about embargo's) Personally i hope they take 30 points of the cheating bastards!!!

as far as sanctions for next season goes the fa and pl are two seperate bodies, the fl fa will carry out whatever punishment this season.as it's nothing to do with the pl,thats why pompey only got deducted 9 points not 10 which would have been the case had they been in the championship.

So much for innocent until proven guilty. Every CFC post on QPR is a sign a cry for help. ;) Perhaps there was a tad too much pre season confidence in this neck of the woods - the reality has turned out differently.

FACT: The Faurlin registration took place BEFORE the rule change. I know its an inconvenient truth.

Cheating? I'm sure every club in the land has done its fair share of that, one way or another - on the pitch or off it.

Didn't Chelsea have a transfer embargo placed on them over some dodgy transfer, but got it overtuned? I can't remember how they did but it might have been something to do with restraint of trade.
