FA UNDER HUGE PRESSURE TO GET ITS HOUSE IN ORDER

Mon May 02, 2011 9:24 am

The Sports Minister Gerry Sutcliffe has slated the FA for its incompetence in
last weeks report, and the Government are pressuring them to hand over power
to another legislative body with more government control.

They are under pressure to get this right on Friday Gents, they cannot be seen to
be bullied. The tail cannot wag the dog any more.

I had this mentioned to me this morning, that maybe the FA were hanging on to
see the outcome of the Governments report into how the FA is running Football
before dealing with QPR and more importantly Paladini

I think the fact that its an independant enquiry that QPR are up against is a sure
sign that they want to leave no stone unturned, and leave QPR with no recourse.
What good will an appeal be? who will hear it? The matter will have already been
dealt with by unbiased, independant legal big-wigs.

My clever mate also reckons that had the FA deemed these charges trivial or petty
and only worthy of a small fine etc... then QPR would have been tipped the wink
and told to accept an FA ruling months ago

I think they are fucked :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

Didn't Greece (or some country in that area) get threatened with explusion from UEFA because it's National Government had too much influence on it's National Football Association?

Could this happen to the English FA if the Government pushes it's nose into much.
