Not forgetting the subsequent victims in Afghanistan and Iraq who were innocent civilians and had nothing to do with Bin Laden. You could say the total number of victims now pushes into the millions due to various car bombs, suicide bombs and military strikes.
Sadly, I don't think this will end it but at least it is a momentous event where justice was served.

You know what they say, get rid of the man you get rid of the problem. The death of Bin Laden will send a signal to those who have intentions of replacing him in Al Queda.

theres 2 ways this could go.
1) Frightens them and they all surrender themselves and leave the guns alone.
2) Encourages them to fight for their fallen leader.
Of course its a great step for Obamha and co in America but for our troops in the frontline it's not so rosey. For all the NATO might in Afghanistan we can't seem to get passed these ill-equipt ill-trained people. Now this shows the links between the Taliban and Pakistan

Too right, today feels like some justice has been done, but let's not also forget we have a long way to go in tackling terrorism.

Terrorism will never be beaten. It's an ideology and you can't kill or end those. Even if we killed every terrorist around it will manifest in another form unfortunately.

I agree with you on that, it's an on-going war that will unfortunately never end.
