The US government has just confirmed Osama Bin Laden is dead.
President is due to speak shortly.
He was killed in a "human" operation in a mansion just outside the capital of Pakistan, Islamabad.

Key points were:
They had a lead on his whereabouts in August.
Special forces mission killed him in a firefight.
Personally it is wrenching that we've lost so many British and American lives looking for him in Afghanistan and he has been in the heart of Pakistan during this time.

i think it was obvious to everyone that he wasnt in afghan! .... it wont end nothing though, this will just make a martyr of him!

Such a shame his death came at the cost of so many innocent lives. This will not end the war on terror and it might even make things worse but at least those who died on 9/11 can gain some closure and the world is better off without this warped individual who has got what he deserved.
