Be honest! Have you ever been a plastic??

Sun May 01, 2011 8:17 pm

On a day when it's plastic central!! I ask all you very loyal Cardiff fans?

Have you ever followed or watched the likes of the top 4 ect..

Living and being brought up in canton it was strange as in school ( fitzalan) I had to put up with the plastic lovers!

This was confusing to me as my home town club was up the road ( could see from my bedroom window) but in order to fit in I used to follow liverpool, as well as going to every Cardiff game! So there we are I have said it!!

Now, as a poster on here said! Can't wait till to see all the lads in Manchester, Liverpool and London whipping out there city tops and watching the mighty city on sky. Can't wait to be in the prem! We will get our own plastics then! Will we??

Never followed a Premier league team and in truth if a Premiership game is on I very rarely watch it and if there is a Premiership game that clashes with a game that coincides with a game that is of interest to us then I will watch that first :ayatollah:

Whe you're a young kid, your loyalties are somewhat clouded, and you are usually swayed by pier pressure..... Although not the best team in the Premiership I always had a liking to Leeds utd! I follwed them intensely with the likes of Lee Chapman, Rod Wallace, Tony Dorigo, Chris Fairclough, Chris Whyte, Gary McCallister, Gordon Strachan, Lukic in goals! They were my team back then a proper footballing side, especially when they signed Cantona - I was extatic!

until of course i was taken to my first home game at ninian park back in 1993 - and since then I've never really strayed! :ayatollah:

I was called a plastic Cardiff fan once by a number of people on Mike's mb. I wouldn't of minded so much but at the time we were in the 4th division competing with the likes of Barnet and Mansfield. No offensive to Barnet and Mansfield like. :ayatollah:

i have to say YES, i was a liverpool fan followed all they did for years, i remember as a kid coming back off a date, standing on a bin looking through the slit window of a workmans club watching them beat gladbac in the 70's while waiting for the bus, only went to my first cardiff game in the 82/83 season.
the buzz was amazing and i was hooked going when i could, never in groups always on my own, when work allowed, worked away alot
up until about about 2005 i still had a fling with liverpool and enjoy watching them play, those days are gone now,
i suppose you could say
i follow (with interest) liverpools results and plights
i support (finacially) cardiff all the way

I've got enough teams without adding any of those buggers to my list, but I do enjoy watching Arsenal play football when they are in their finest form.

Followed Welsh national team from a very young age and encountered my first ever match at Ninian versus Iceland with Gilo scoring!!!

Classed myself as an Evertonian even though the closest I had been to merseyside at the time was up Blackpool Tower! Loved that team with the Welsh connection, Southall, Ratcliffe and Van Den Hauwe (ish!)

All the while my second teams were City, Jacks, Cewnty and Wrexham and always waited for the Welsh news for that rare occassion when all 4 welsh teams won (i dont remember this actually happening!) I also went to a Jacks game before a city game (v Southampton when they were in the top flight) it was rammed and the Jacks won, yet I didnt get the bug despite having a good day out. Funny how I get the bug for my first City game against Torquay at NP in the rain with a third full ground!!!!! :ayatollah:

City obsessed since and dont even watch prem footy any more.

So I have been a plastic, and I welcome plastics to CCS in the hope they get the bug like I did! :ayatollah:

QPR  Friend used to play for them and I was allowed to travel there as a teenager by parents (live in Reading)
First match 25th September 1976 vs. Stoke City 2-0 Stan Bowles and Don Givens getting the goals.
So all the goings on at the moment seems to be pay back against me

I went to watch Sheffield Wednesday quite a bit when I was a kid and supported them from about the age of 6. I also supported Cardiff but only got a season ticket just before Hammam took over. :ayatollah:
