Off to Orlando on Friday...

Gutted that I will be missing the run in, but I will be constantly looking at my phone and what not. Has anyone got any tips? I havent been there since 1999.

Hi mate!!! I'm going tomorrow great British bar on international drive, next to tgi Fridays that shows all the football! I'll be there for the burnley game! As for what to do islands of adventure in universal is awesome, the factory outlet shopping in lake buena vista is good as is Millenia Mall! For good places to eat definetely check out Bahama Breeze and Cheesecake Factory! Howl at the Moon on international drive us a good laugh for a night out and on the weekends get yourself to Makos and Latitudes in down town Orlando! Great night life, no tourists and loads of birds! Enjoy!

if you want to watch any football get up the cricketers arms its next to outdoor world in festival bay,premier outlets is good for all your designer gear.

Festival bay mall was like a ghost town, it is one mall to many
Harry POtter land was roofed but the rest of the parks were quiet, must be a sign of the times

Have you bought your attraction tickets here or you getting them whilst your in Orlando?
Same again for car hire if your hiring a car, did you arrange it here or waiting til you get there?
Wondering if its cheaper to do both here?

Harry Potter World in Universal, will have a massive queue, get there really early or you've got no chance, go in through the shop turn left and enter through the lockers, it will save you hours.

Then go back around and go through single rider entrance, if you want another go, brilliant ride and take you camera, loads to see as you queue for it.

Get both in the UK...........

Airline Network are the cheapest for car hire and I think it was attraction tickets direct for the parks, google them there are loads.......

The place has changed a lot in 12 years, mate....but LOTS is still the same and you'll recognise much from before

Where you staying and what are your preferences (parks, rides, eating, shows, etc)??

I was there about 6 months ago. Portabellos Italian restaurant is very good in Downtown Disney. Kafe Kalik does great Caribbean food, it's in one of the malls,( Florida Mall I think) . Fishbones, just off i drive is also v good.

Best water park is Typhoon Lagoon, followed closely by Blizzard Beach. Epcot is a great day out too and loads to do and see at Universal too.

The English pub (The George ?) next to Wet n Wild shows loads of English games. I watched us demolish Leeds 4-0 in there. Happy days

Try www.floridacarhire.net for you car hire and www.tickets4u for your theme park tickets and you should save money

Multi-park tickets are best....

As a HUGE recommendation book tickets for Cirque du Soleil in Downtown Disney BEFORE you go on www.cirque du soleil.com as it is unbelievable and well worth the money (best seats are in Blocks 205/206 and Rows AA, AB, AC, AD and above)

Try to get there 30 mins early as there is a pre-show that is really funny....

Enjoy the trip and watch out for the giant rodents....they're everywhere!!

However I did manage to see the QPR game what a game to miss live.
For anyone wanting to stay in a villa in Orlando let me know as I know where there is one that gives discount to city fans
Harry Potter was excellent but get to the park 1/2 hour before it opens and head straight there,I managed to get in,
in 20 mins later on the queuewas 2 hours.
If you like steak head for Manny`s Chop house unbelievable and also happy hour 2 for 1 for three hours before 7pm.

It`s a beautiful day 84f in Orlando and Norwich have just ruined my day.
Trying to follow the results on your laptop with the just the BBC updates is not good for your health

american beer is shit, its all bud light, cools light etc, but orlando is great, , have a good time

My Uncle booked all the tickets and car hire before hand! We are paying 1,180 for flight, hotel, car hire, and theme park tickets.

What time does the park open?

universal studios opens and closes at differant times of the year go on line and you should have all their times and also any special events taking place.

The tropical storms in the summer out in Florida are something else. I remember messing about down the beach in lovely sunshine and all of a sudden the black clouds appeared, next thing you know the tornado warning siren screeches and everyone is running for their lives.

Twice I saw tornados in Florida, and I'm not talking about the Twister ride either, and on the flight home we had to fly through a Hurricane for two hours.

Still despite all that Florida is one of the best trips I have been on.

Go in the "Single Rider" queue for the Harry Potter ride. Cut a hour off queuing.
