But will he be a canton stand man or a ninian stand man or go for the safety of the family stand?

Sounds a sensible option for now but as soon as he can chant he will want out of there trust me.

Yes I am there with my lad. Its a safe haven and a good place to take a youngster and fair play to the club they have got playstations for the kids under the stands and if you get there early there is normally some event going on (last week David Marshall was signing autographs for the Kiddies) but my lad is now at an age where he likes to chant but if he does then you get people looking at us as if we have 2 heads. So its bye bye to the family stand for us as we have already booked our season tickets for the Canton next year.

Age wise there are plenty of Kiddies around us that I would estimate as being around 4 upwards and I would consider this as the earliest age that they would start to enjoy things. Saying that I have also seen some kiddies that look around 3 but they spent most of the time not watching the game. Have no fear of taking your lad at an early age as its really safe to do so and on the whole a pleasant atmosphere for a youngster. I am in block 124 behind the goals and would consider this a good spot which is not to close to the away fans so avoid block 123 if you dont want to be near them. The family stand is quite sheltered but the first 9 or 10 rows (A to J )can get wet if it rains so try and get above row J if you can. Finally you want to be high enough to see the action down the other end so I would reccomend that you go for something around row P or above and sit behind the goals. If you ask at the ticket office then they will advise you further and they can even arrange for you to go down and look in the family stand one afternoon to check out the seating if you are unsure.
