Personally, I would have had a stern word but the laws are the laws!!!!

I've seen a lot of disgraceful decisions in football, but this one takes the biscuit! If I was that player, I would have chinned the ref and said something along the lines of "now THAT is a sending off offense!"

So if the steward did his job and did what the player did, would the ref have sent the steward off? I mean technically, the steward is on the outside of the pitch, just like a manager or sub, so you're saying if the steward tackled the streaker and the ref sent him off, it would have been the correct decision?
