Warren Feeney/Jon Parkin

Sun Mar 06, 2011 7:43 pm

I see many similarities between the signing of Parkin and Feeney both brought in around the same time and for about the same money. Feeney was also left on the bench and would only brought on with minutes remaining (impossible to prove anything in that time) like what is happening with Parkin. Parkin i think will end up like Feeney a bit part player farmed out on loan next season. Why does Jones sign players and treat them this way. Feeney and Parkin are 100% players exactly what you need when things aren't going well.

nowhere near good enough, jones took a gamble on signing him and it never paid off,not just with feeney but plenty of other players

had parkin played could of been different. especially with bywaters coof kicking , parkin would of had upper hand 9 times out of ten,

Parkin just isn't very good; touch can be poor, poor movement, lacks pace. We go up, he'll be as useful as a Dave Jones tactical meeting.

Personally I would have brought Parkin on when Quinn went off.
I have so far been dissapointed with Parkin tho

If Jay is fit, Parkin won't play. He was essentially signed as cover for Jay and, I guess, a replacement in case Jay went in January. It looked likely that he might have left in January, so Parkin was brought in, just in case. Now he's here, Jay is keeping him out of the side

One start scored a great goal and hasn't played much since to be fair to the lad.
