McFAIL, Fail?

Sat Mar 05, 2011 9:50 pm

Nope. And he's being called this on the ccmb, he was fantastic again today, just because he doesn't run round like a headless chicken scoring a few goals whilst verbally abusing his teamates does that mean he's less of a player? It's about time he gets some deserved recognition, the guy beat CANCER, that's a real achievment, and he's come back alot stronger, he's turned into a fantastic player and he's a great guy, it's a shame people don't see this!

More positive news, me and 3 others have moved our season tickets to Canton 106! Looking forward to singing next season with out a jumped up tw*t moaning that he cant hear himself think! :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

Look mate every decent person would wish him well in fighting his cancer and I was delighted when he recovered. I have never met him but I have heard him speak on the radio and he seems a Gentleman with a great relaxed attitude.

However, that has no bearing on whether he is the right man for our central midfield and to answer your question, yes I would like a more athletic, verbal goal scoring central midfielder.

Totally agree on the McPhail issue....he was immense today, as was the centre back pairing and one or two others.

Where we failed was by not moving up the pitch and nulifying their midfield, which had more space to play with than the Endeavour Space Shuttle!! Bullard was a player I wanted us to go for earlier this season and he showed why....

Sometimes we just have to take it on the chin and this was one of those....

Bullard was the BIG difference on the day. We could have stopped him...but we didn't....and look what he did!!

IMO Mcfail is not good enough to get us out of this league, hasn't been for the last 5 years or so, can't beat a man and how often do you see him play a 1-2 on the edge of the box and get a shot off ? Score ? or even play a meaning full pass to create a chance, now I'm not saying that Whitts is the answer but at least he fills the boxes I stated above. But we are were we are and we have got to get behind Mcfail because there is no one else. My opionion

Whether you like him or not he plays for us, calling your own player that is cringeworthy. Grow up :ayatollah:

He played the pass of the season to put JET in on goal in the 1st half. I absolutely despise people calling him McFail or McFailure. I would also bet that not one of them has achieved ANYTHING like the man has himself.

There are some who dont rate him, and thats all opinions, but really there are no need for the childish insults to a man who is not only OUR PLAYER but has shown bollox that many many of his critics wouldnt be capable off to come back from serious illness to fight his way back in to the 1st X1 of a Championship promotion challenging side.

For those who might have forgotten , his return to fitness heralded a superb run last season which eventually got us into the play-offs, during which he played absolutely brilliantly.

I think he's a decent Championship midfielder, with a fantastic range of passes, who works hard, but just isnt quick enough and cant shoot ! :ayatollah:
