best freinds dad, who sadly recently passed away to lukemia used to live in an old cottage in the countryside. haunted as f**k. plenty off shit scary times. he also ran 2 pubs that i worked in. old country pubs out shirenewton/usk/chepstow way. always locked up in 2s
had cutlery fly off tables, clock smashing in middle of room, lights on n off, and once a bloke stood at the bar, by the time id gone to serve him hed dissapeared wouldnt change it for the world though

When i worked in birmingham, i stayed in the station hotel in Dudley, the story goes that the owner killed a hotel maid back in the Victorian times, many of the current staff told me of many spooky occurances, like knifes and forkes floating through the air in the kitchen, room tempretures going icy cold, i remember walking through a corridor on the third floor, and although the heaters were on full blast the corridor was absolutly freezing, it was a very creepy place.

I went to school just outside Talgarth.

The school I went to was a very large, old country house converted into a high school.

Parts of it were pretty creepy and it was rumoured to be haunted, especially around the old art rooms and the bell tower.

We had oak panelling in the school canteen. It sounds very harry Potteresque but in fact the oak panelling was full of graffiti where we carved our name.

It's a lovely building and is still a school.

The local authority I work for has recently converted the big old St David's Mental Hospital in Carmarthen.

Just my luck our depertment was re located into the secure unit of the site. I don't believe i'n ghosts and stuff but it's not a pleasant place to work and a number of people have claimed to have had ghostly experiences.

the mental hospital in talgarth i no people who used to work there and they all say its haunted used to deliver the mail there and used to put the shits up me soon as i walked through the door not a place id wanna be on my own in the middle of the nite

Llancaiach Fawr in Nelson is meant to be haunted. Think it was featured on one of these most haunted programmes on tele.

My brother was a non-believer until he was on a night shift at the Celtic Manor Hotel. He was the shift electrician and had to go and check some trips in the old part of the hotel by the swimming pool. To the left, the door was locked and to the right was the passage back to the main building. He heard loud footsteps and panting getting closer and closer so went to have a look. As he got up a shadow zoomed past straight throught the locked door. He said it happened so fast he didnt get scared. No-one else was down there.
Lots of staff go down there in twos as there have been many sightings and weirdness going on.
Apparently the old building used to be a hospital. He's not the sort to make up nonsense.

Sorry for my ignorance but how the feck would you know what 1700s and 1800s death smelt like unless you was as old as Bruce Forsyth

I just mean, it had a really eerie smell - it just didn't sit right with me. I don't know, it was really strange. There were all descriptions of the kind of operations they did as well (mostly without anaesthesia ) which probably didn't help

Been to the Whaley House in San Diego, apparently the most haunted house in America, the Jerome Grand Hotel in Arizona which used to be an old mental hospital which closed in 1956. Been to many other haunted/ghost towns in America, but to me it's all bollocks.
