CHAPMAN'S TRAVEL

Mon Feb 21, 2011 8:09 pm

Anyone who book with chapman's for away trips, I went to book bus for Hull trip today and got told they were no longer doing football trips as there was too much trouble on certain coaches on saturday.
Anyone know any cheap bus company's (don't say Cavendish) lol

Chapmans coaches are rubbish anyway. The one they gave us for Swansea was disgusting.

I'm sure Carl will add to this thread later. I think you'll find that the "trouble" is with the service and not the fans.

the chapmans we had going to arsenal in the cup was shit no heating no stereo and looked like a 70s jazzband bus.
even shoppers and commuters were stopping and laughing at our bus as it rattled , blew out black smoke and backfired as we went through london :(

I am now going to go back on what I said at the start of this thread now then..

The driver i had was the actual manager of the firm and his words to me were:

" Cardiff fans are loyal to us and most reps book up for every away trip with us.. but when they're drunk they are nothing but nuisances". :o

NO ONE ARE ANGELS WHEN DRUNK!!! HAHA

Or maybe they don't like taking shit from bus companies dicking people around.

I don't envy carl or anyone else who organises trips, so much pressure on them. Doesn't help when companies don't do their job properly.

If the know that we are drinking, why don't they supply a bus with a toilet

Boys, and anyone who knows me will know I'm on your side. To get good buses you got to have good behavior, if you act like messy cows they give you a cattle wagon simple as.

When we did the Rams each bus would have a Rep who would look after the bus, this means stopping people damaging things, stopping people climbing on the roof, and generally trashing the bus, until you can look after the coaches you wont get a tidy one and if you keep messing up you wont get one at all.

You wont believe the trouble we had when we started to get companies to deal with us, we always used to say any damage and we'd pay, and pay we did, must have cost us or rather our own lads thousands.

Best of British to anyone who runs a bus, but it ain't just about booking it, paying for it and filling the seats. :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

Gwyn, that is the mentality that I run a bus with, I leave the bus clean as I am the last off, any driver will vouch for that, once I have dropped off in Ponty then the 30 minute journey home is spent cleaning the bus up.

Full marks to you Carl.

Some people take the piss.

Let some poor sod organise it all, behave like pigs and then expect the orgainser or the driver who's just taken them on an 8-hour journey to clear up their mess.

The blokes who've run the buses I've been on - and I've travelled with most of the City groups have been absolutely superb.

I've taken a few buses in the last few years and only had my mates and guys I know I can trust on them, no problem, but as for taking 50 all-comers ... good luck to you. :ayatollah:

Were you parked up in a layby on the A42 after the game, spending a penny? I'm sure it was a Chapman's coach.
