KEEP IT IN PERSPECTIVE, PLEASE....

Sat Feb 19, 2011 4:59 pm

The doom and gloom merchants will be out in force tonight, I am sure....

Let's keep this in perspective, please. It could have gone either way and a draw would have been a fair result against a VERY strong side at home....

Let's stay behind the team and focus on the game against Leicester City on Tuesday. From THIS moment on THAT is ALL that matters!!!!

KEEP THE FAITH!!!!

Forest was always a tough ask. They've got a strong team and are on a strong run.

Typical f*cking Earnie eh.

Ah, yes, guess you're one of the biggest fans ever, eh, much better than everyone else...

A loss wouldn't have been damaging BUT for DJ's annual slump. That 13 game run has made losses like this even more crucial; since, I'm sure you already knew that, eh?

Leicster, Ipswich & Hull. Then we have nice little run of games. So i'm not worried at the moment.
KEEP THE FAITH.

Nerd, who do you think you are mate??

At what point did I give the impression I am a bigger supporter than you or anyone else?? Don't be a prat in public. There are fickle negative fans out there FACT! The club has at sometimes an overwhelming negative element, every time we lose or even draw this forum is full of negative fans who look to single out a player or a reason for the performance. Discussing a performance is what this forum is all about but most of it after a bad result is totally OTT and grinds on a lot of people on here. This element is also seen/heard in the stadium which does nothing for our boys in blue. Certain fans sitting around me literally sulk if a pass is mislaid or the team as a whole aren't playing like Barcelona.

I enjoy discussing performance's diplomatically and so on, but your're not worth the effort clearly. Your reply is uncalculated and purposely aggravating, unless you reply with constructive words then don't bother, you clearly caught me in the wrong mood. how about you PM me so we can discuss this further??

I'd say being a prat in public is referring to "fickle negatives". Funnily enough, some people have had views that DJ isn't the man for the job for quite a while. Are there some fickle fans? Yes. Are there some who operate at the other end of the scale, namely that DJ can do nothing wrong, everything is fine, heads in sand? Yes.

If you're referring to people fickles after one result, that's because you're focusing on one result. Not the entire season or the pattern.

Today's loss, you can point to Forest's home record. You can also point to the fact Forest operate on a tight defence, aren't great goalscorers. You can also point to the fact our record against the top 2 is abysmal this season. You can also point to the fact this loss was massive taking into account the context of our massive slump under DJ - 6 more points, we'd be "safe" with QPR.

Fact is, DJ played "mind games" - that he'd rather the points in the bag than games in hand. That one has bitten him on the arse.

DJ has been indulged, he's had the players he's wanted. As has been seen for most of the season, our team is a collection of individuals, not a TEAM. Unlike Forest. Unlike QPR.

Who are where they deserve to be. And we don't.

if we don't go up he is gone anyway, thats a dead cert I think.... also half of the squad and the loanee's we'd hope to have kept will go, we will be starting from scratch. If he stays or goes, if wont happen till next season.

With that why cant DJ doubters just bear it and support him and the squad as much as they can NOW, anything else is just destructive at this crucial period. Im almost starting to think deep down they wouldn't be too disappointed to see us implode because they'll get what they want and see DJ walk. I personally think that it will take a couple of years to even contend again if we stay down, with DJ on board...let alone without him.

Unless we get a Martin O'Neil, he likes his under achievers. Im soooo fickle!! :D

Hold on - this is my problem with you.

You're getting judgmental on anybody who dares criticise DJ.

We know he's toast if we don't go up. That doesn't mean he's magically immune from any criticism by fans, it doesn't mean those fans aren't supporting the team during the games.

I'd tend to disagree - right manager, motivate the players, get team spirit going. Who would claim Blackpool's squad was better than ours? Do QPR, Forest have better squads? No, better teams. And that's where the manager deserves criticism.

DJ deserves criticism for sticking with Naylor for so long - too long.

Acting as though such things shouldn't be said because we're third in the table... just feeds into the chip on Jones' shoulder.

This is a message board mate, the whole point is to exchange views and opinions and anything discussed here 'shouldn't' affect well paid so called professional football players.

If I want to vent my disgust at DJ's useless (& destructive) management style then I will.

So with that in mind DAVE JONES YOU ARE A WANKER.

Absolutely 100% agree and not just because we lost today but for everything that has gone before. QPR & Forest are stronger teams which look completely as one with what they are trying to achieve, we don't and it's only the quality we have in the squad we keeps us in games.

DJ has been gifted the best player in the Championship in Craig Bellamy and 31 games in he still hasn't worked out how to get him involved. Craig must be pulling his hair out in frustration at the moment. :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

Just listened to DJ post match interview where he was asked should Cardiff have been more disciplined after they got back to 1-1. DJ answered look there was nothing to remain disciplined about I ask you can you f*cking believe the guy.

Anyone with half a braincell will know that Warnock & Davies would have had their teams taking the heat out of games likes this when they get back into them, it's called being disciplined, being professional and being prepared to take what you have.

Nothing to be disciplined about GIVE ME A BREAK :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

I agree, we have been playing like a bunch of Licorice Allsorts all season, some you like, some you don't. As DJ said recently, "This club will get promoted when it is ready". I personally don't think that that time will come with DJ in charge!

Its been a funny old season, its all gonna happen at the end of the season one way or the other.

In my opinion, Dave Jones has had a wish list of players, which he's more of less got, on paper it's strong but rarely they play well as a team.

Is this Dave Jones' fault? maybe, but if players don't gel and play the way Dave wants them to, what can he do? change it up with different players? then it just disrupts the way they play and certain parts of the pitch are weaker.

I think every manager in the championship knows either to run over our midfield or attack through center midfield then cut to the left and behind Bellamy at Naylor (thank f**k for super Kev)

Bare in mind that the championship is a league that anyone can beat anyone (bottom 2 getting points against QPR and Forest this week) and it's almost always a close one, or has runaway winners.
