with your bank account. Then asking you to enter your details etc....
These scamming bastards need to be tracked and f*cking jailed. Ok, the majority of people wouldnt reply but I'm sure
some do and then get ripped especially older people.
With all the computer intelligence available, its about time the police stamped these thieving twats out.

people that give any personal details out over the phone are complete retards! except the elderly and senile that is. I've had so many arguements with my bank when they ring me and i refuse to give any details because i always say to them "how do i know its you" i wont give anything out over the phone, when i can be arsed to answer it that is

Yeah thats the point I am trying to make, unfortunately the older generation and sometimes the younger ones with new bank accounts will give their details out. Cant see why the police cant trace the originators through the IP address and nail these fuckers who are probably Nigerian, and thats not me being racist, its just that they usually are. Or Eastern European

If your bank calls you, they should only ask you to confirm your name, postcode and date of birth and any password that's on the account. If they ask anything else like to confirm your bank details etc than you know they're up to something.
