QPR v Forest Sunday

Sat Feb 12, 2011 7:17 am

I got a sneaky feeling forest will get a win at loftus road. They're riding high at the moment and QPR seem to be scraping through games at the moment. I think a draw would suit us best or would you prefer QPR to thump forest and knock them off there stride and drop out of contention leaving just one team to worry about catching? Or even the same but vise-versa with forest thumping QPR?

Tbh I think we'll get promoted regardless it's just wether it's second or first!

I think I would prefer a draw, but when your two closest rivals meet we can't really lose.

The perfect result would be a draw with both teams getting 2 players sent off and a further 2 with injuries that keep them out for 3 months. ;) :ayatollah:

Id like to see forest get knocked off there stride before we play them, i hope QPR knock the stuffing out of them, we need to take advantage today though, knw disrespect to scunny but its a must win for us today if we want to put some presure on forest and to a certain extent q.p.r

Laughable!!

3 losses all season.

Best defensive record

Best scoring record

Most clean sheets (16)

Top 2 all season

Please if your going to write something make it accurate.

Also for the record a QPR win I feel will help Cardiff. Not only with regards to knocking the stuffing out of Forest prior to you2 meeting but also giving you the chance to catch them.

i dont think theres much chance of anyone catching qpr considering the way they have played this season they have got an excellent squad. so ideally a qpr win for me.

Touched a nerve there did I Stan. If you read what I said I never once mentioned anything about a poor record! You got to admit you have had quite a few games where you scored the winner in the last five ten minutes. You obviously been getting results I never once said that. So maybe you want to get your facts right before you go mouthing off.

Plus for the record I think you need to worry about us pipping you to the title and forest getting the second place especially after we beat you at CCS!

Splotto just to put you in the picture mate;

Last 5 games;

Burnley-0 QPR-0
QPR-2 Coventry-1
Hull-0 QPR-0
QPR-2 Portsmouth-0
Reading-0 QPR-1

So we have 5 games, 0 losses, 5 valuable away points, 2 wins at home & 1 goal conceded in 5 games.

Do you still stand by your quote of 'QPR seem to be scraping through games at the moment' ??

To me what I see is a very resilient side who defend superbly, and have the ability to win games. Draw away win at home and you'll go up is the old saying.

And as for you saying we better watch out because you might overtake us....Can't say I'm quaking in my boots Splotto old chap

After today's game then a draw would be the best result for City.

QPR would then have played 31 and have 60 points.

City have played 30 with 54 points so winning the game in hand would give us 57 points

Forest would have then played 29 games and have 53 points. If they win their game in hand over us then they would be on 59 points.

All it would then take is for either of them to slip up and we are still in with a great chance of an automatic spot.

Stan, it appears I have touched a nerve again! You see as I previously said I have not and am not questioning your results just think you maybe scraping them together! And that you are about to get toppled off the table! Pressure may be starting to tell at the top?

Splotto you are deluded my friend. 'Hit a nerve' ? How would you of hit a nerve? I laid out my response in a structured way to highlight the pony you were talking.

Pressure at the top you say, yea well we've been there all season & no one has managed to dislodge us for more than a week so I don't think we're gonna lose our bottle now considering we have the best manager in the league.

I would be more worried about yourselves mate & not us.

We are very much on course. ;)

I'll take a draw.

Anyone who thi nks QPR are uncatchable is deluded.

It's all about what we do.

FWIW, there's a few games where QPR have snatched it late on without playing particuarly well. Reading being one example. My mate follows the R's and still isn't confident of holding onto a top two position. We struggled to a 1-0 win today. It's getting the wins that's important.

Agree with you Paul. We are 5 points off QPR and have to play them at the CCS. QPR must be a decent team to be top for virtually whole of season. However they are beatable and can finish outside top 2.

I feel your love papa

Very tough game tomorrow & if we don't get a result we move on still being top but if we do win then I will really start to believe we are gonna do it.

Draw would be great - a Forest win isn't good by any means, though they do only have one game in hand on us, whereas they have 2 on the likes of QPR, Norwich, Leeds and the Jacks.

Stan, Stan, Stan, deluded! I'm sorry but the shear fact that you had to put it all out in such a structured way proves that even the fans are starting to feel the pressure!

Good luck tomorrow mate you're gonna need three points to chalange us to the title!
