Player ratings and thoughts??

Really was a game of two halfs, terrible first and IMO we had enough to win it in the second even though we nearly came away with nothing.

Heaton 6 – not sure he could do much about either goal, not much else to do
Naylor 3 - totally destroyed in the first half, done better in the second half, im undecided if he was at fault for the goal, it came from his side and his man but he seemed to have to cover someone else? Who?
Hudson 8 – Won a lot in the air and generally done well
Kev 9 – brilliant performance, did everything.
Quinn 5 – I don’t really blame him for the own goal as he had to stick a leg out if he was unsure but generally not good enough.
Bellamy 7 – doesn’t offer much defensively and does missing a lot but also offers such quality
Witts 7 – first half he may not have bothered (oh wait he didn’t). However I thought when he moved into the middle he was excellent alongside Rambo and in fairness got stuck into the game the seconf half
Rambo 7 – some moment of great quality and a much better player than when he left. Tired towards the end.
Oli 4 – poor offered nothing in the first half
Jet 5 – disappointing, poor upfront, bit better when out wide but again tired.
Jay 6 – goof finish for the goal but not at his best.

Ive defended Naylor a lot and while I still don’t think he is as bad as people will make out he was terrible today, totally and utterly destroyed in the first half, needs to be taken out of the team and we have the options to do that.

IMO got the starting 11 very wrong, I was amazed when I heard it and seen nothing in the first half to suggest it would work.
I was even more amazed by the second half, ive never seen DJ gamble much in games but for me playing Rambo and Witts together in the middle was a HUGE gamble, I wouldn’t have done it and never ever thought DJ would have but for me it worked, played a lot better in the second half and should have won the game really.

I thought bellamy was at least an 8 tonight & not for his goal cos I only just seen that on the tele.

it worked with ramsey and whitts but they just not strong enough kept getting broken threw to many times. we can't win in midfield does my nut in LOL

Yes mcnaughton was fantastic tonight AGAIN, but very harsh on bellamy there he was quality tonight, i give him 9 aswell, Naylor 0

Second goal was super kevs fault, but he saved us so many times this season..... Whitts should not play in middle, he is a pussy who shits out of every challenge, jay wound me up today, cant defend naylor anymore, DJ did what a lot of us suggested on here by going 4-5-1 it didnt work and he addressed it, we need to stick to what we know 4-4-2

To be honest I think that was the problem for the second goal and I would like to see it again, the CM attacking wasnt getting closed down so Naylor had two options leave his man and close him down or let him have a free shot.....he went to close him down and of course he passed to Naylors man and the rest is history

i give kev an 11 he was awsome and saved our arse on many occasions

i think the problem with Jet, is that he takes 1 touch too many, everytime, and gets caught.

Tbh, I think an experianced side will win us the game vs the Jacks. Neat passing and a LOT of patience will be in order.
