Pi**ed off about my seat next season.

Sun Jan 30, 2011 10:10 am

I'm feeling a little bit in limbo at the moment. I'm currently in block 118 and have been since we arrived at the CCS. I LOVE my seat, banter with the away fans, next to my mates and a cracking view of the field of play.

Imagine my surprise when I received the letter stating that IF we gain promotion our block will DEFINITELY be relocated! How unfair is that?! I'm not one that likes being next to away fans to cause trouble just simply enjoy the banter with them at close quarters.

I know that there are spaces in the Canton stand, but I don't enjoy the behind the goal view...I never have.

Puts me in a predicament really as I have no idea where I am going to be next season IF we are promoted. IF we are promoted, there's a strong chance we will, I would like to enjoy myself next year in the lace I have sat for the last two seasons. I think I should be entitled to that privilege after all.

They say they will relocate but we have no indication or say where too and I think this isn't fair. I pay, along with many others, £400 to watch our boys and I don't want to just be plumped somewhere that I won't enjoy as much ad I currently do.

Anyone else feel a little aggrieved by this? What can be done, if anything?

they could expand into the family section but wont, because they want to stop all singing if truth be told.
it would make more money if they expanded into the family section.

Claude's thread

I really thought it was something a bit more concrete than that.
He said he got it off here ! here is his quote.

''I read "over there" that the Trust are meeting with the club on Tuesday re:- supporters moving from the Ninian to Canton Stand.

Apparently the Trust have some concerns?

Not sure if true as the post then goes on to slag the Trust off in it's usual inimitable style.
''

You know he likes to wind you up Annis, but all he is doing is repeating what he 'supposedly' read on here.

The mind boggles with this f*cking club!!

Jenkins let slip the other day that he finds 'banter' with the
away fans distasteful. Thats what all this is about innit!!

He has absolutely no f*cking idea what makes the fans of ANY
football club tick. I suspect his main advisors, and the only ones
he listens to are the SWP.

The atmosphere in the Neville between 3 and 4.45 is better than
in the ground. Same goes for the Kings, the Cornwall etc etc etc

Keep the noisy swearing animals out. Go Gethin go. you c**t

Yes, I don't want to move you're right. Bit stuck really, shame the club don't seem to care for the fans in this situation. Do they not understand we are passionate about the team, pay the club hard earned cash and therefore deserve some consideration on these matters.

Thanks for your concerns Annis. Hope something good comes from this.

I would say its completely unfair if they say right ok because of this and this law with the premier league we have to move your seat that you can't choose where to relocate to that is shocking. I didn't realise that, I thought if you paid for your season ticket in 118 and you had to move they would let you choose where to move to. Shocking!!

Now cos of my spine problem I cant stand for long but I do sing like all the others. So what will happen to my seat under this new seating move ?

IS THAT WHAT GETHIN JENKINS SAID Hmm

Re: Pi**ed off about my seat next season.

CALM DOWN<CALM DOWN, If we get in the Premier league w e have to provide 3,000 away seats, now we can't move them into the family stand because of the exits to the concourse and the segregation areas downstairs, and do we really want to lose more seats in the family stand, surely that's the area we should be encouraging to grow for our new and ongoing fan base.

Those in block 118 who may be affected I'm sure wont be told where they have got to sit, they will get a choice, but if quite a few fans decide to move to the Canton then there should be quite a good choice of seats to pick from in 117 and 116.

What I can see happening though in these blocks is a far stricter control on standing or gesturing etc.now if people couldn't see this happening in due course, then they must have had their heads in the sand.

The days of scrapping in stadiums as gone, those people who throw things on the pitch or at fans may get away with it once and then have a 5 year ban. Those that run on the pitch are able to do it once before a five year ban.
Whilst some may think standing face to face giving it the big one to away fans is Ok, personally I've been there and done it and grown out of it, can't see the point giving it the big one when you got more chance of having a blow job than a toe to toe in the stadium.e and you outside gesture

Have you ever been intimidated by an away fan 30 yards away safely protected by two rows of stewards and coppers giving you the wanker sign or me and you outside signals.Your better of laughing at them or ignoring the fuckers coz that pisses them right off, actually often it will piss them off so much it's them that get's agitated and finally thrown out because they can't get you to bite, your little victory then.

I think there's nothing more likely to get at the away fans and get their backs up than creating an atmosphere that drowns out anything they sing or chant, lifts our team and then go on to thrash them. To be honest there's nothing worse as an away fan than being ignored, now that does get a rise out of the away fans. As away fans we want to be heard, noticed and get a rise out of the home fans, we feel that we have made a contribution then, otherwise we may as well as all stayed in the f*cking house.

Let's create an area that shakes the roof, I've been to a few grounds where If I was on the pitch as a player my knees would be knocking, that's the atmosphere we want to create rather than one where the away fans go home thinking it was like a library and all they do is stand and stare at us, now I don't think staring at away fans helps events on the pitch, but we all know what the Kop in Liverpool as helped to do over the years.

Well said Gwyn, moving to The Canton is in everyone's interest, both fans and club alike.

Exactly. Which is why I'm confused people would take it up with the club in a negative manner, when they know well how people will react to veiled criticism. Imo this has sadly been jeopardised if the club has to agree to 'restrictions' on the original plans. Nevertheless, those that still wish to move to the Canton to get this positive action going, MUST keep on track and not get so easily deterred.

I think the main worry that has been put forward is that some people will be forced out of their seats in the Canton to fit in those moving from the Nin.

Of course this is rubbish, but unless everyone reads all the posts on here they can get the wrong impression.

Simple solution is for the club to meet with all supporters representatives and let them know so they can filter it down, also to put articles in the program etc..

Seems to me this is what the club are doing on Tuesday.

Ignorance breeds fear.

i totally agree with bigwynram.By creating a loud atmosphere and outsinging away fans is indeed a victory. When we go away 99.9% of the time our singing is 2nd to none (stoke away prime example) loudest fans in england my arse. But when they came to us, well if you were there you will have heard that they were seriously loud.So why can't we be at home as we are away??
