Fair play, has any Cardiff City fans group achieved so much in such a short space of time?

Unhappy with the previous chairman so organised a march that was definitely noticed in the right areas of the Cardiff hierarchy and Malaysia

Set up an official travel club making it possible to book coach and match tickets.

Regular meetings with the current Chief executive to put forward fan’s points and get club info

Concerned about the development of our youth structure so have set up club links and a fans donation scheme to directly fund improvements

Regular updates regarding club activity

Concerned about the atmosphere at the new ground so have actively taken this to the club. From this it seems the wheels are in motion to improve things for next season.

All this and a forum that’s informative, funny and friendly with hardly any sniping or childish behaviour.

It’s easy to sit back and moan about the club but do nothing. It’s also too easy to get bogged down in political correctness and committees that gradually result in no meaningful activity occurring.

This forum seems to have a ‘just do it’ approach and has become a major voice for Cardiff fans

So big up for the Cardiff City Forum and eveyone who contributes to it.

This Forum even came up with the idea and then Suggested it to Our Club how to Raise money for " The FRED KEENOR STATUE "
Which they have done


I am pleased to say that the forms for the upcoming season ticket sales are with the club's printers and through a suggestion on this forum there will be a check box where fans can contribute to the Fred Keenor statue appeal. It was suggested by The Loovenator many months ago :

Need to speak to the club and piggyback the next lot of season ticket sales - ask them to include a section to donate £2 to the fund, if you're already forking out a few hundred whats another couple? Just to include a tickbox would be dead easy.

If only one in every 5 do it you'd still get approx £7000 which is a massive way to getting the funds needed.

Also more ideas such as having a sponsor for the statue (although some may see this as devaluing it it'd mean £££ is raised, £5,000 to sponsor the statue? Why not.

There's my suggestions anyway.

I forgot to ask whether there's any chance this forum could organise a win at the liberty stadium next week?

Starting to use this site now myself, and will be on it a lot more now that BBC are closing down 606.

Yes, spot on. I can't understand the large number of guests on here at any given time, better to register and get involved IMO.

Great post. A lesson learnt for all the people who criticise the club and forward their ideas without any direct action. To anyone reading who likes to take a swipe at this board, at least we go out there and collect money for the academy, try and improve the atmosphere by coming up with solutions and have meetings with the club.

It's easy to sit back and criticise, get out there and do something about it, thats exactly what people from this board have done, and too good effect. Well done, it's appreciated by the fans and the club. Keep up the good work

2/ The organisation of the Riddler march
3/ The set up of the Accademy
4/ The updates
5/ The amount of new friends that i have now made. I now have 2 mates thanks Milly

7/ Even though debates sometimes gets heated they are mainly respectfull. Except when certain individuals mainly from the other board come on to stir.

Don't give up on improving the atmosphere yet. Something needs to be done and many people are with you on this.

Some fans in the canton may have genuine concerns and so should be able to put their points forward. other people may just want to disrupt the good progress that this forum's organisers and contributors are making.

There is no doubt that there is an air of jealousy from some individuals. They just can't hide it and almost every post they make involves an attempt to undermine or criticise.

Let's listen to those with genuine concerns but not get defeated by the other jealous few.
