Work Permit delays Keinan announcement!

Fri Jan 21, 2011 5:36 pm

Cardiff City manager Dave Jones has confirmed that a deal to sign Israeli international defender Dekel Keinan from Blackpool is complete, subject to work permit approval.

The Bluebirds have agreed a transfer fee with the Seasiders, who are looking to reduce their wage bill while Keinan has agreed terms and passed a medical. He linked up with the squad earlier this week and is looking forward to first team action.

However, no official announcement has been made pending a work permit application which will need to be processed prior to registering Keinan as a Cardiff City player. It is not yet known whether the paperwork will be completed in time for him to make a debut against Watford tomorrow, but there are not expected to be any problems with granting the permit.

Keinan will then become our second permanent signing of the transfer window after Jon Parkin joined from Preston. Jay Emmanuel-Thomas has joined on-loan from Arsenal while fellow Gunners youngster Aaron Ramsey also looks set for a 1-month stay with the Bluebirds.

Still says that theres a issue with a work permit mind.

The lad had his work permit hearing in Newport today I would say that as the club have now made the announcement that he has been told a work permit will be granted.

Just waiting for the document itself now which may take a day or two but for me there are no issues. Good signing this one. :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:
