JET Oli Whitts Bellamy
Bothroyd Chopra
SUBS
Marshall

Keinan

That leaves Koumas, Matthews, Gyepes, Rae, Drinkwater, Wildig who don't even make the bench!
These players would get in the majority of championship teams and yet probably wont even make our bench

thats not a problem??
thats a decent sized squad, every team should have options for every position it makes players fight harder for there space. and besides, mchpail is injured

Its only Prem teams that have QUALITY cover in EVERY position........we are better off than most if not all teams in the championship in my opinion....

With Keinan we have 25 players that are likely to 'get a game' (so Santiago, John, Jarvis etc aren't included)
2 Keepers
4 Full backs
5 CBs
4 Wingers
6 CM's
4 Forwards
(Obviously there are some over laps)
So I think we could lose Rae and Wildig (sold/released and loaned respectively) if we are going to bring in another one.
Then a CB (Gyepes or Riggot) only if we are to bring in another CB. I don't want us to start cutting down players we always have to thin a squad and at times it seems self imposed. Lacked a CB and CM in 08/09, lacked Jay cover in 09/10, lack CB and CDM cover in 10/11.
Let's not have any mistakes a big squad for the last push. Players can readdress where they are playing in the summer after they can add 'helped get a team promoted to the Premiership' to their resume.

Wildig looks good for the future, I'd keep him......its McPhail and the ones who are not getting a game that need to be shipped out to make room for a 'premier' quality player in midfield, assuming Gabbiddon's on his way aswell....

can we send koumas back?
lets not forget btw @Deano these are loan players...we still need a squad to fall back on come the summer

Swansea were after one of our defenders,
...until they realised his name was Gyepes not Gyppo

And this team doesn't even include Riggott
If he comes back fit and well my starting XI would be
Marshall
Matthews-----Hudson----Riggott----McNug
Bellamy----Whittingham----Olo----Jet
Betty----Chops
SUBS
1. Heaton
2. Keinan / Naylor
3. Quinn / Blake
4. Koumas / McPhail
5. Drinks / Wildig
6. Parkin
7. Keogh
I'd play Bellamy on the same side as Matthews so that he can track back and cover for him, just as he does with Naylor...
Hmm; optimistic now looking at this team!

I realised whilst watching the Stoke game the other night why Whittingham gets into the team every game.
For me games games pass him by and he doesn't contribute enough but we've got no one else who can take a corner or free kick. Our dead balls against Stoke were shocking and I think that's something that needs to be addressed asap.
He's got to find room for Drinkwater. He was excellent in the first half against Stoke but I guess he ran out of puff a bit after his long layoff.

Where's Burkey mate? It gets even better!

this is far from a problem. jones is beefing up the squad so we dont have a repeat of the play off final where jay takes a knock and that was it, no plan b

What about this team,
Heaton
Kev Hudson Keinon Gabbs
Oli
Whitts Jet Bellers
Chops
Jay
Bench
Marshall
Burke
Blake
Drinky
Parkin
Keogh
Naylor.
