What is your 3 defining moments

Mon Jan 17, 2011 7:02 pm

Which are non football ? But when you are on your death bed which will flash through your mind ?.Mine are as follows !!

1/ When my son was born. I bonded with him the moment my Girlfriend told me she was pregnant. I used to speak to him all the time i know that is soppy but it was true. When my Girlfriend said i think its on its way it was like something i have never felt before. AMAZING !!

2/ When my Wife and me got told she had Multiple Sclerosis, It was like wow i wasn't expecting that. M.S it was two letters we didn't know what it was and for me i felt a sense of guilt for not knowing any thing about this cruel disease. My first words was can we find a closer hospital as the car parking at the Royal Gwent (Newport) was awful. My missus still mocks me for those comments  But those seconds will stay with me for the rest of my life.

3/ A bit of a cheat I'm afraid but it is when my Son gains his Black belt in Karate. Hopefully will be later this year. It will be something that i will never forget because pride does not even come close. Getting to the Premiership will be the dream of my life but Regan getting that Black, nothing will beat it. :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

Things that spring to mind are the births of my 4 children

Birth 1-really long labour and ended up with alarms going and forceps delivery. I was then handed this little bundle and told him the immortal words-"I'm your daddy and you're a Cardiff city fan and we beat Hartlepool 2-0 yesterday"

Birth 2- Caesarian-seeing the Mrs being opened was a sureal experience. I was then handed my little girl and she was told that she was a CCFC fan and we beat Shrewsbury 3-0 last week!

Birth 3-Another Caesarian-Handed little Tommy and had to tell him the bad news that CCFC had lost 2-1 away to Watford the previous weekend.

Birth 4-Yet another Caesarian (boring seeing the Mrs opened up) and much more traumatic. Little Sam spent the first 5 days in ICU in an incubator. He was told the result of the previous home game-we'd just beaten the jerks so Daddy was happy :ayatollah:

Outside of the kids being born my proudest moment was winning the summer singles competition at my golf club last year.

These are some of the things that would flash before my mind on the old death bed,

1. I'll always remember the regret of my mum dying when I was young and missing out on my life and children.

2. The birth of my two children...the greatest ever moments of my life.

3. Happiness that I met my soul mate by time I was 19

1. Passing my driving test 1st time in 1981 was a great feeling at the time for a young me .

2. Boarding the train in Cardiff early 1 morning to embark on a 12 year career in the RAF in 1983 .

3. 2 moments from 2006 , my mum's funeral then my wedding 1 week later ! Hectic and stressfull month was June 2006 !

Im sure there are prob 1 or 2 other minor moments that could be put down and Im sure mine are somewhat overshadowed by many manyothers on here , but these are my 3 ( 4 ? ) . The FA Cup Final was close aswell :ayatollah:
