All this talk of us being a selling club

Sat Jan 15, 2011 10:23 am

With the rumours of Bothroyd going around some people are whingeing about us being a selling club. Lets not go into the ins and outs and who could be replacing who, etc etc because its all pish. Within this country there are only 4 clubs that I would say are not selling clubs

Man United - would never sell their best players to another english club
Arsenal - ditto
Chelsea - ditto
Liverpool - ditto

but even these clubs are selling clubs if the price is right (Ronaldo, Mascherano, Henry etc etc) and it suits the club. We have lost some quality players in the past and have also received some cracking fees for average players (loovens) but the most important thing to remember is that football players are all greedy bastards and when a bigger wage bill is put in front of their nose they are off. So if we do lose Bothroyd lets not forget all the hard work and the quality of his play he has put in and forget about the off field stuff. Thats football, it is a business and Bothroyd is a part of that business. I'll be gutted if he goes, hes been one of the best players I have seen at Cardiff over the last 18 years but I will wish him the best where ever he goes and hope he scores goals for them.

Unless he joins leeds or bristol b*stard city in the future

Man United didnt sell Tevez and Arsenal sold Adebayor because the price was right.
