bothroyds replacement

If bothroyd is to leave, my target would be jason roberts he's like to like to bothroyd big strong good in the air with a bit of pace.
There are not many players similar to bothroyd but if it is true he could be off to newcastle then we can't rely on parkin as he brings something different to the team than bothroyd does.

If said this for so long now. I follow Blackburn aswell as Cardiff and I can honestly say that JR would
Do a superb job in the Championship. He's in £25k a week at Rovers but would take less for sure

Harsh, I think he was quite openly telling Allardyce that he wanted to go if he wouldn't play him. Was well reported in the press and he said it in a few Sky interviews.

Yea true about age but there's not many player out of a similar type to Jay . Roberts has been at this level done it all and has played well for blackburn in the perm wen started. I can't think of anyone else who's a similar player that could replace him

Roque Santa Cruz never mind he has signed to Blackburn, just noticed

I think Jason Roberts would be a good short term replacement for Jay. He has got the experience and has played at the top level for quite a few years. My only reservation is his fitness, he's recently had a bit of a lay off.
