We have seen in the last two seasons very competitive and close calls but the one fault the management of the club never tackled (and lets be honest last year was partly due to the 'person' (how do you spell lying, decieving, cheating, wish Leeds fans had got hold of you scumbag?) in charge) is to bring in players of better quality to sustain and push for promotion.
Is it too early to criticise the club again? probably, but running around scotland looking at players does not bring me much cheer, smacks of desperation and limited monies!

SPOT ON MATE

Its never to early to moan mate, we are experts and love it

Its do or die season with DJ IMO, its very disappoint that the Malaysians have back-tracked on their promise to fund new players of credibility in this window.

It is frustrating but i cant criticize the malaysians as they have been great so far and are paying Bellamy's wages out of their own pocket. DJ was backed heavily last summer and I dont think they thought that they would have to stump up for 5 new players in January with the squad we have. It would be great to see them splash the cash now and really go for it but in all honesty we should walk this league with the players we have at our disposal. To be fair no one in this division is spending any money and we are one of the few to do so in buying Parkin. Most business tends to be done at the end of January anyway so im sure a few more will be coming in then. What is annoying is that we only seem to have scouts in Scotland, yes weve not done too bad in that market but surely we could look else where as well?

fair comments and rightly so Jimbo but they should have not promised funds for the transfer window in the first place

Its all about having punt on the premiership maybe they aint convinced that DJ will take us there if we had a good christmas I wonder if they would have dug deeper paid sam and put some money in for transfers...

I cant help thinking that IF the Malasians thought there was a great chance of us acheiving the automatic places they wouldnt think twice about spendind a few more millions!!!!
I can only presume that they have lost faith in Dave Jones and it will cost them too much to shift him.
Just my Opinion.

Well if Jonesy's not gonna get the money he wanted to bring in the players he wanted then it's time for him to earn his bacon, he's very well paid and has a very strong squad of players at his disposal already including at least 3 or 4 that would walk into any team in the Championship, plus 1 that would walk into just about every team in the Prem.
Without any more players coming in during Jan the team is already strong enough to win the league, can Jonesy get the best out of the current squad though? The $64,000 question, we'll all know the answer in about 4 or 5 months from now.

There is no doubt the squad is good enough, when fit. The squad is just not big enough to cover injuries and that will be our downfall.

i believe the squad is plenty big enough.
2 quality keepers.
stacks of players who can play RB and LB.
3 CB with DARCY or KEV who fill in.
6/7 CM
4 WIDE MEN
4 STRIKERS
thats quick and off the top of my head. nearly all of the players i have thought of above would get it other championship sides.

With the Premier League 25 man squad window closing at the end of the month, I think premier league teams are reluctant to let people go until they have a replacement signed which means we are left waiting ...
Also as we have used our (over 23) season long loans up so leaving it until the end of the month would mean we could keep the short term loan players until beginning of May ?
Of course it could also be a case of no money to spend unless we sell

Agreed if they stay fit, the problem is we dont have sufficient cover

I understand the frustration amongst our fans, but lets just wait and see what our squad looks like come Feb 1st, it's not that long ago we were facing administration don't forget.
