Swindon Town hot-shot Charlie Austin has spoken out for the first time about speculation surrounding his future.

The Robins have confirmed a number of Championship clubs have enquired about the player's availability, while Hull City tabled an undisclosed offer for the prolific forward earlier this month.

The 21-year-old, who has netted 17 goals so far this season, admits he was disappointed to see the bid from Hull rejected as he is ambitious to play at the highest level possible

I'd offer 1.5m for him, he's a very talented young lad and if nothing else, it's an investment

We dont need a striker:

Keogh
Parkin
Chopra
Bothroyd
Bellamy

Are all strikers, unless one of them is leaving, I cant see why we would buy one when other areas need strenghtening 1st!

To me, this is why we arnt pushing the boat out and giving into Evertons demands for Vaughan - we aint to bothered!

You're missing my point. Why Burke? Why not Chopra?? If we sold a winger and bought a striker, we'd be heavily under strength in one area and heavily under-strength in another.

Unless he moves Matthews forward, which is probably his better position.

Selling Burke shouldnt even be an option! You need good wide players to create the chances for the centre forwards

What we all seem to forget is that as promised the Malaysians seems to have back tracked and there is little if any transfer money available for DJ.
