SOCCER bad boy Craig Bellamy was hurt when a five-man gang ambushed him at 3am outside a nightclub.
The bruised Cardiff City striker, 31, leapt into a cab after trading blows with his attackers.

Cops were last night probing the fight.

Another brawl erupted as the player's pals followed him out of the Cardiff nightspot soon afterwards.

It left two men aged 20 and 26 sporting facial injuries. One of those involved is believed to have been a policeman's son. Hours earlier Cardiff had earned a 1-1 draw at Stoke in the FA Cup - a game the fiery Wales and former Newcastle star missed as he recovers from a knee injury.

Its so fking bad that you cant go out to have a nice time without thinking that you may get knife in you or a fist in your face or even a glass. When i was young there were always about 8/10+ 4/5 girls of us that use to drink in the Fox in St,Mellons we use to sing Irish song and have a great times. But never got into fights (and there were few of us that were real hard nuts ) cos we were all mates, but today its a must to get into a punch up. I think it all comes down to this! Nerd is exactly right in what he is saying, but if the CCTV had shown that Craig was at fault and that he had hit a coppers son. he would have been arrested & charged by now. I would say that as Craig is high profile and that he has that sort of rep, why would he put himself in those situations in the first place. OK, some will say he has the right to go freely for a drink with his mates but you also have to think of the consequences. Especially for his family and the club he represents.

im surprised he bothers going into town, there are so many idiots out its incredible. 10 yrs ago i used to be in town all the time and there would always be a load of us out. We never got into or saw hardly any bother. You might see the odd pissed up punch but that was a bout it. Didnt frequent the idiot clubs mind, nothing down the south end of St.mary st, the chavy places. Its a sad sad place nowadays.....
