Im not sure if ive ever posted on here but i read most days and i must say my biggest fault with the whole forum is how topics are made as "Announcements" and "Stickys" and they clutter up the top of the forum.

I was on here the other day and i counted 21 threads that were stuck to the top of the board which makes it a pain for you to find what the latest replies are.

I have run many messages boards over the years, as you know Annis, and i know that the most interesting topics will rise to the top and i dont think there is any needs for such a large number of messages to be forced upon people.... I dont think ive ever seen CCMB have more than 3 or 4 stickied.

I enjoy reading the forum but it can be a chore because of this reason. This is Just My OPINION though and i dont want to tell you how to suck eggs as there are a bundle of people who post daily but from MY view i would post more if the cream were allowed to rise to the top.

you have 19 posts mate,
i kind of agree at times there can be to many, but when it comes to updates etc you dont want them getting lost down the page.

I agree. It alienates posters from making their own threads, because no-one will look at them due to the first page being totally taken over with stickiness.

On most boards when threads are stickied they pretty much die.

But in this case people are constantly checking to see if any updates are added.


Alot of regular discussion threads are unecessarily stickied though.

my biggest grip is multiple posts about the same thing,

if your gonna start a topic use the key words of that topic and check in the search option first see if its already started or one simular is already running, its simple, then you dont end up with 5 "bellamy ate my hamster" posts running.
then they may not be a need to make so many items stickeys coz they wouldnt be lost in the pages

yep hate it as does everyone else, i never read the stickys, or at least try not to

all stickys and rubbish that people seem we want to see should be in the top little bit out the way, all carls updates etc, they are proberly only the things worth keeping/reading
