Are You Happy With Today's Result?

Sat Jan 08, 2011 10:10 pm

Do you think a replay, or the possibility of further FA Cup ties is a major distraction from our promotion campaign

or

Do you think the opposite, and feel it is a great competition that is well worth the extra games on the football calendar?

--------

My personal opinion is that I find it a distraction, it fatigues our side and players will pick up injuries. Any other season I'd encourage it, but I feel that we should 100% focus on getting promoted this season.

Great Performance and Had a Great Day, but Yes its prob not good having a draw as it wont help us in the league, which is Our Main Priority .

i have same attitude to be honest annis but i think MAYBE he could play few players who need games? but flip side of that WE never have luck with injuries in the cup :(

still i think we could nock them out at home and have CRAP next draw like burton hahah

The FA Cup is special Baker and if we got hammered today it would of spilled over into our league matches. But this result will install confidence. :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

be nice to go on 10,15 match unbeaten run, cup and league ,breeds confidence
right through the squad, that today was an excellent result because stoke are
a very strong physical side and we coped, where we haven't in the past
the tide is turning,,,after the bad run,,,,blooooooooobirds :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

I think the worst result could have been a draw to be honest. At least with a win we'd have a new opponent to look forward to, and with a loss we could concentrate on the league. The FA should scrap replays.

Have to agree with the majority of replies, good for Marshall, Koumas, Drinky, Quinn, the Beast to all get another game in. There's nothing like the experience of a full 90 minutes. Even if JB and CB are fit for it I'd leave them on the bench. 0-1 with 20 mins to go, chuck them on, we've lost nothing have we?

theirs still alot of lower division sides in the cup I think our best best is to get a couple of easy ties and then go all out in the quarters full strength side we have a chance at beating majority of teams in prem one off occasion,
genurate a bit of cash from wembley semi final

Sorry but don't agree with the Koumas shout. He is shot end off. Had he played today we most prob would of lost. We need to forget the Koumas that came here the first time. The Koumas that is here now is finished a league two player at best. His heart is not in it any more. Agreed with Baker for once  a draw was not the preferred result but hey the players are paid to play football !! get on with it :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:
