City fans attacked in power league pub in stoke

Sat Jan 08, 2011 2:18 pm

I am currently at Stoke and witnessed the attack from Stoke to city fans in the pub,

There was a about 50 city fans in the pub and last orders was called, when 3 Stoke fans was at the bar, they turned around and started singing Stoke songs, and the city fans was quiet at the time after we sang Cardiff songs in the bar all afternoon.

So these 3 Stoke fans started to square up at the city fans and hit drinks from people's hands, then it started to go off in the pub and the majority of city fans was able to escape, some decided to fight back at the Stoke fans and a load of police and stewards came in to try and stop it.
By that time I left the pub and walked to the stadium, I seen vince by our coaches and told him what had happene.

NOT

I travel away with my young boy this & Bristol games are the ones i would NOT take him - and you know what pisses me off - the immaturity of the people from ANY clubs that think the families want to get involved with "histoy hatred" between clubs

Why drag young children, families, unabled and elderly people who want to go watch a game into it!

THEY specifically travel with the supporters club to stay away from things like this

Mate,I'm just saying some football lads will get stuck into anyone families or not, that's one thing I've never witnessed with city attacking kids etc. But sometimes you gotta defend your families / friends even if you don't want to.

No my mate was there. The Stoke gobbed off at families by all accounts then got
filled in, All the normal people were just trying to get away from it all. Typical though..
City fans get nicked for it!!

Jez, you are swimming against the tide on this MB.

If you want to simply support your team with passion and avoid all of the knuckledragging hooligans, this is not the place for you.

I've been reading this and other threads and tbh comments about glassing and the like just make me think it's pointless trying to debate with guys who are stuck in a timewarp.

If you want to fight join the military or get in the boxing ring.

Find some other way of burning off the aggression but don't drag the name of our club through the shit.

I like this board :D

BUT thats what i like about it you can have people stuck in a warp and in their own opinions - it is good for a heated debate :D

AND when certain "things" are posted they are only pointing out how narrow minded and immature - leave them do it :D

AND i just hope after the game it does not kick off again

Well, I can honestly say, I dont care if it is at a football match or shopping in the street, if anyone wants to harm my children in any shape or form, they WILL have something to look at in the mirror to remind them of what they did!

With all this talk on here. Got a bit worried that my boy might be caught up in something .(first away game without me)
Just phoned him and he really enjoyed himself said the Cardiff fans were brilliant and hadn't seen any trouble.
Bar for a few seat thrown from the joke fans
