You are spot on. I've not heard one person on any news, even the Welsh news, refer to them other than "England". No mention whatsoever of Wales.
In fact the ONLY time you will hear Wales mentioned in the cricket is when they are getting stuffed. In the last lot of tests where they couldn't win a toss it was England-Wales this and England-Wales that. Now they are winning it's just England.

That's not the point, the team is the team regardless of who plays on what day. So if, lets say, only footballers from the north of England play in a successful world cup then the whole of the south of England are not included for that one are they?

If the cricket doesn't want Wales in it then get rid, simple as. Don't though only refer to Wales when they are doing badly. We are either part of the team all of the time or we are not.
