Because Hudson is 50/50 when playing.
Inconsistent as f**k.

Not been his biggest fan myself but got to hold my hands up he led from the front tonight and had an able partner with half a brain in superMac, good performance, now he needs to be consistent.

Thought he had a decent game tonight, but why the hell was he marking McCormack who's only 5 foot and a fart and leaving McNaughton to mark Billy Paynter?
Reminded me of the Play Off Semi Final against Leicester, where Darcy marked Howard and Hudson went spare again!

He's decent but not great. We still need a new centre back!

Overthemoon - I totally agree and just posted those exact same thoughts in the M.O.M thread! Im glad someone else has spotted that habit of Hudson's too..

ever thought the striker is using a bit of sense and moving to the smaller centre half? if hudson was to follow him it would cause panic at the back, it's better to keep the shape. but dopnt let that get in the way of criticising hudson.

I thought Hudson was good tonight but still too inconsistent - 20/80 for me, I think he is frigging hopeless.

Bothaldo, of course that does happen during games, but even from re-starts, free kicks etc, he was passing the big man on. anyone can see that. City need a leader at the back and that is part and parcel of it Im afraid!

You've got the wrong man if you think I'm a Hudson hater, as I say it like I see it!
He had a decent game last night, but he continually points at other players to mark our opponents and if he can he'll go spare, thinking that he's some kind of Franz Beckenbauer!
I'm sure that there was a little bit of Paynter deliberately going to McNaughton, hoping that he'll stay and mark him, but Hudson could just have easily opted to pick him up and get McNaughton to swap sides and pick up McCormack, who was pretty anonymous until he got taken off!
