I just don't get all this talk about Routledge. He's playing regularly in a good Prem team yet seems to want to jump ship, a drop a division to a struggling team. I know Bellamy did the same but at least he liked us - Routledge dropped us in a few seconds a few years ago so why is he desperate to come back.
Just doesn't add up to me.

Agreed BBMack, I do think that the owners are waiting for the result of the leeds game before anymore dealings are initiated. As a new manager could have totally different players on his list should the result go against us and the board sack DJ. But lets keep the faith and we will get back to winning ways tomorrow night.

DJ spending £2 million on Routledge would be the only reason I won't renew my season ticket in February. He's already wasted the first £100,000 of the kitty on an unfit, overweight striker to warm the bench and paying that much for Routledge who clearly doesn't give a monkeys about who pays his wages judging by the way he behaved last time he was here would be the final straw for me, especially as we need a left back and a proper holding midfielder as Olli is a pussy and Drinkwater seems to have disappeared.

What's the story with Jayo, this injury seems to be taking a lot longer than expected to clear or is he on his way out?

And what about the defence that everyone says is crap - are we supposed to find another two million for Loovens and more for someone to replace Naylor. People slag off DJ because he doesn't get the defence sorted and then want another winger when the transfer window comes around. Get real guys - £2million on Routledge is way out of our league for a position that we could use Keogh, Burke, Whitts, Matthews or even super Kev on recent performances for. How short is everyone's memory - the guy walked out on us at the first available opportunity. The dressing room is already supposed to be split; how can this possibly help unify thigns when he couldn't even be bothered to say goodbye to his former team mates.

The reason they want rid is apparently he's a right arse.... Big time charlie heard the same when he was with city last thing we need now would have much preferred Adam Hammil or Andy King

I wouldn't bother with Routledge, much prefer to go for Pratley.
Hard for me to say that but he has one hell of an engine and would be good for our mid-field.

Get him on a free as his contract is up the end of this season and pay him double what he's having off the Jacks, thats an incentive for him to come to us, money talks!
Then we could start getting rid of the rubbish we have, ie Rae, Blake, Naylor, Gyepes to free up wages for the 2 centre-halves we desperatley need, Move Kev to left-back and use Matthews/Quinn at right-back or even get a new player for that position.
Mon Jan 03, 2011 5:32 pm
Pratley would be a good addition to our side, but according to the jacks he's off to join Wigan or Bolton.
