I have always thought he could do a job for us at this level.
On 606 last night he mentioned he would love to be a player coach?
Could he do a job for us?

A bit of steel/passion/motivation to get us up.
Who have we got at the moment?

Steel... Can only run in a 5 yard radius... complete headless chicken.
Passion, motivation? Shit stirrer at Wales training camps whilst under Toshack....

From what I see there is a lot of shit stirring going on at the moment without him.
Would take the pressure off our big name players when he plays.
We need to come up with something different.
We don't have anyone with pace in the middle of the park or who can put a foot in.
I personally don't like him but we need to reach the promised land this year.

Savage has no pace. Put a foot in? Maybe... but remember the Derby game at CCS last season? When our midfield happily ran circles around him?
If he was that good a motivator, Derby would be doing better.

Yes I do remember that game and Derby's back four pushed up all night giving Chopra and co, free run ins on goal. Midfield hardly involved.
MacPhail is not the answer. Yes, great on the ball, Legs have gone, every time he puts a foot in he's late.for example, Jacks twice, and does he motivate? Great against Cov with no pace Carsley etc, but younger legs Watford, Bristol, the game passes him by and he is not involved.
Who have we got? Macphail, Koumas, Drinkwater. Wildig.
The point I'm trying to make is who can motivate their own players and the crowd.
I think short term Savage could.

Nerd...... good talking.
I hope Jonesy is trying to come up with some solutions to finally get us there.
It's hard at the minute to think of anything rather than the problems at CCS and how they can be sorted
Let's give it to Dirty Leeds on Tuesday!!!!

And when Savage disagrees with DJ?
Remember the Plantain incident?
Lickle einstein Robbie whined about Toshack's staff serving plantains. Where's the pasta, we need the carbs, he yelled. And made such a wonderful point by going out to a servicve station and buying tonnes of chocolate and crisps for the younger players.
Good idea that, giving professional athletes junk food to make a point.
And of course, Robbie was somewhat embarassed when it was pointed out that plantains provide more of the helpful carbs needed by athletes...

I don't care who argues with who.
All I care about is City getting back on track and to the Prem this year.
Argue all you like behind closed doors but do your talking on the field.
We are showing more passion in this post that DJ has done since he came here.
Plantains, bananas eat what the f..k you like. Perform!!!!!
Somethings gotta change and soon!

You do realise the point was about Savage's reaction right?
Eat what the f**k you like. Darcy Blake does, and it shows...

Last thing we want is another overated prima donna with a planet sized ego.
Sun Jan 02, 2011 12:46 pm
Nerd...... you seem to have a personal issue with Savage?
Is Mr Bellamy the perfect example of a professional footballer OFF the field. No, but we put up with it.
If we are picking a team that meets the exact criteria, what about Blake, Chopra or McCormack and a few more that Jones has brought in and not managed?
None of us are bothered about any of this when we are doing well.
Who have we got that gets stuck in and gets the crowd going?
Phil Dwyer..... your club needs you!

Your point was that Savage could motivate players and crowd.
I showed you an example where, when disliking something, he acted like an utter cock undermining the management.
Passion tends to be grossly overrated when the ability isn't there. had a chat last night with mate, who claimed he'd have loved to have seen Psycho in this side. Sorry, but he'd have been grossly exposed at this level.
Sun Jan 02, 2011 1:15 pm
Point taken.
Lessons are learnt whatever occupation you are in and Savage has learnt his.
We all have done things we later regret but the objective should be to get to the promised land in our case.
For example How many Jacks would we sign to get us there? I would say any of their back five to start.
Would we as fans be too blinkered to accept this?
Darren Pratley?
When putting structures in place personalities should be taken out of the equation.
All hyperthetical but true and I hope DJ has his structure and vision in place. I hope he has. What I have commented on is my opinion only as something has to be done and fast.
