Inability To Secure Signings?

Is it bad that we don't seem to be offering enough of an incentive to secure mediocrity

or

good that we are cutting our cloth to suit and not paying over the odds?

Not worried, just a question.

I am of the opinion that we may be going for the lesser targets first to see if we can get decent backup at a cheap price, if a few fail then we may chuck a bit more money at No. 1 targets. But who says we will be successful with the bigger targets?

Or we were never going to sign these players anyway..
