Leeds have announced on their website that a deal has been agreed. Nevermind Woodgate is still available

A shame but I am sure that there is better out there for us.

Things like this happen all the time in football and Leeds were always going to be favourites to sign him if they could come up with the funds.

Carl, someone has posted on CCMB that the Parkin deal is also off due to personal terms. Any truth in that?

Well thats football, he certainly was offered good terms to come to us but Leeds have done the deal.

There are rumours about Parkin but I have only read what you have to be fair, the deal to sign Vaughan is certainly not off but the sticking point is how much is paid up front.

so no truth in the Rumour that DJ has called the Vaughan deal off so that he and the club can pay for the Routledge deal up front like Newcastle want? Also its said on 606 that Jay has been offered a big contract from the club since before Christmas?

Why are people surprised, its always been like this with the City. You cant blame players for not coming here if you believe half of what is written about us and you cant blame clubs for asking for full payments upfront. Its the same old City, whoever is in charge of CCFC. The fans get lied to and fed bollocks from the board, if you believe in the hype from above your going to be disappointed. We'll end up with donkeys simply because any player worth his salt will read between the lines. Same old, same old, new year same old shit.

Can anybody really blame O'Brien for choosing to stay at Leeds, as he's a Yorkshire boy who went through Leeds's academy?

If he's been offered similar terms at Leeds, then surely you'd expect him to stay, much the same as if we'd have had the same financial clout to offer Ledley, what Celtic gave him!

I am so glad he isn't joining us. Not worth it in my opinion. Don't really rate him.
