I think it was the most realistic, financially, for us if Bothroyd was to stay til the end of the season. No way would he have got Holt, Austin as back up strikers. Even Howard I think would want to have started.

cheapest option gives his all and fans will take to him i think anyway. i think it good signing but cardiff fans even complain when we sign a aplayer lol makes me a laff get behind him don't judge him just cuz he not as good as u want .

The only way we would have got Graham, Holt etc.. is if bothroyd was sold. And none of us want that.

i think if someone bids 5 million for jay we will sell but anything around 2 million would be madness because jay could be the difference between going up in the next 5 months.

Agreed, and i cant see anyone paying £5m for a player out of contract in 6 months.

More worrying is the number of games he's missing through injury. If he's out today and Tuesday i reckon that'll be 1/3 of our games he's missed.

I've been begging for cover for him for 3 years, finally with Parkin we have an option (a name I've dragged up cuntless times in that period as a cheap alternative). An equivalent will cost millions, but between Parkin and Keogh we can finally at least cope when Jay is out
