What about left back ?

Hudson, Riggott and one other, with Gyepes or Blake as back up at centre half.

Must have a decent left back.

You could have Vidic and Ferdinand in the middle, but if the left back is getting skinned 5 times a game you'll still leak goals.

Would be great signing but supposed to be going to Stoke for 1.5 million according to Mirror.
