I personally dont think Jon Parkin is going to win us the title. However, for £100k, I really dont think it is a bad bit of business.

He is big. He scores goals. And he is a right pain in the ar$e.

He can be used as a backup. He can give us that extra dimension when needed and, in my opinion, I would rather have Parkin up front than Keogh - if Chopra/Bothroyd were unavailable.

£100k is not a huge gamble. But what it does show is that DJ is putting a safety net in place just in case - and for that alone I aplaud him.

I have not mentioned any big names (you ar with woodgate - not for me to injury prone AND WE HAE ENOUGH OF THOSE) I am looking at young hungry players that want to play in the premier league that want to join a club that they can fulfill their ambition
