Im probably wrong but I think it has to be the first working day.

Something tells me you cannot sign players on a Sunday so it is probably based around that.

Of course, in our case, both the FAW and the FA have to be working so that the player can be registered with the FA and International Clearance can be given by the FAW.

Like with all signings they must be signed about 24 hours before kick off which would mean he needs to sign on 31st December. This is obviously not possible as the window will not be open.

All paperwork on the transfer could be processed today if everything is signed and sealed and the transfer would become effective on 1st January and the player could then play at Bristol. In fact the paperwork could have been processed on 1st December if everything had been agreed but the player could not have played until 1st January.

The FA & FAW will be closed today and will not reopen until 4th January so the paperwork will have to be processed very quickly for the player to be eligible to play against Leeds that evening.

If it is ALL agreed get the paperwork processed today :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

But the earliest it could become effective is at midnight tonight and that is only 15 hours before kick
Off. Signings have to be signed a whole day before kick off
