Shittu is terrible, he's worse than what we have now.

Majewski no chance, he only signed for them last year for 1 million.

The only one i'd take is Hammill from your list but i'd prefer routledge over him anyday.

As it stands we have 1 and half centre backs in Hudson and Riggot (1/2).

If Shittu's available I would take him.

Little chance of Majewski but would love to have him.

You wouldn't take Graham ? Not even as back up for Bothroyd ?

gypes + blake if we need him that = 4 centre halfs .

graham isn't a targetman he's a goalscorer so no, i would not take him.

Re: Who's on your wish list ?

From what I've seen of Graham i think he could do a job as a target man.

I'm not sure i would count Gypes, he's a walking disaster, and Blake is a barely passable makeshift centre half at best.

Re: Who's on your wish list ?

Thu Dec 30, 2010 8:39 pm

he is a centre half nevertheless? and blake done a job there the whole of last season, so how could you say he can't be a make shift centre half?

from what you've seen of graham, what would that include? a game against qpr and some goals on the football league show.

Re: Who's on your wish list ?

Blake is absolutely terrible. He had a couple of good games last season but apart from that was poor, and he's been awful this season. Also, Graham is well known for being good at holding the ball up and linking up with other players. He is over 6 foot as well.

Re: Who's on your wish list ?

Blake did alright last season, has lived off that, and done feck all this season.

Graham is 6ft 1 so obviously has target man credentials and his goal scoring record this season speaks for itself.

I admit I have not exactly been watching Graham's every move, but i have seen a few of his games and he ripped the QPR defence to shreds.

absolutely terrible? what are you on about? statistics showed that him and gerrard were the best centre half paring last year so you can forget about having the odd good game.
how would you know about graham being ''known'' for his hold up play, i've heard nothing about him apart from his goal scoring, mainly goals scored on the floor.

I think we need a crack team consisting of Jeremy Kyle, Vanessa Feltz and Jerry Springer to solve our dressing room friction

i wouldn't say feck all, he's had to come in and out of the team so lacks consistancy, granted he hasn't been as good as last season but nevertheless he's not been as bad as naylor. the whole watford front line ripped qpr to shreds not just graham in particular.

Blake is terrible, and is nowhere near good enough for the Championship. If you can't see that then there's really not much point in me trying to persuade you.
So because you haven't heard about him being good at holding the ball up, it's inconceivable that it's true?

Cheryl Cole
Megan Fox
Niki Minaj
Rihanna

Ohh sorry I thought this was the "To do list"

your not going to persuade me because it's MY opinion and no matter how much you try your not going to be right, sorry.
no it's not, but you said he's ''known'' for his hold p abilities but i know him for his goal scoring attributes.

Re: Who's on your wish list ?

Thu Dec 30, 2010 9:17 pm

So you're saying that I can't persuade you as it's your opinion (I don't want to persuade you anyway, by the way), and then you go on to say that no matter how much I try I'm never going to be right? Surely I'm allowed an opinion too?
And, like I said, just because you don't know him to be good at holding the ball up, doesn't mean that it isn't true.

Re: Who's on your wish list ?

Thu Dec 30, 2010 9:57 pm

if you don't want to persuade me, don't bother trying to, tara.

im not saying that it's not true, why do you keep saying that i am? i'm simply stating that i know him for his goalscoring abilities.

Blake has been Awfull for us this year. He might of played well end of last year but no good u keep telling every 1 that as were pushing for promotion this year. The fact he is locall every 1 wants him to do well including myself but I can't even defend his performances. He is also to small to b a centre half in my opinion

Re: Who's on your wish list ?

Ok Ok Ok.

First off, Shittu, he's slightly past it, would be a good signing, but similar to what we have got already I guess, someone with more experience would be Jay DeMerit, availabl on a free transfer who did well at The World Cup in the summer, Woodgate would be solid and bring in plenty of experience as well. If possible I'd love a centre back who has a bit of technique, who can start a bit of build-up play, and also a centre back who has some pace to him, as at the moment we have 2 lumps at the back, not too shabby at defending, but a quick side will run circles about us. A top player that has both of thee attributes is Watford's Adrian Mariappa, and at 23 years of age he could be last long with us. Another player perhaps is Richard Stearman of Wolves, completely dependant on how much game time he gets at Wolves(Don't bite as I haven't got a clue if he plays).

Left back, ahh, now this is the main problem as I think we have all agreed on here. There is actually a few players out there. If we want the cheap option we could go for the experienced Ibrahima Faye, at 30 years old he is still actually pretty quick and has good defensive knowledge. A team not doing well at the moment is Burnley, especially as they have no manager this could be a top opportunity to raid them for Brian Easton, he is quality written all over, one if not the best tacklers in the league, top defensive knowledge, and one of the quickest about, young and also, SCOTTISH :ayatollah: Marcus Williams, Dean Moxey and Tony Craig could all probably fit the bill.

I would honestly love to see Routledge at the club, but if this fails a short-term option would be Henri Lansbury on loan from Arsenal, young, creative and has the right attributes for a winger he could help our promotion charge , he already has experience at this level and is probably getting better and better!

Vaughan looks a bit of a gamble, but if we want a top quality young striker, a proper finisher who has bags of pace we should be looking at Dundee's Leigh Griffiths, 19 years of age, also Scottish, with bags of talent, he could easily replace Chops. If we need backup for Jay the 2 players I'd reccomend to DJ is Rickie Lambert, the problem being the cost and I'm unsure he could cut it in The Prem, or Jon Daly of Dundee United this time, a player who works very hard for the team, a nuisance in the air, creative and can finish, just lacks a bit of pace that Jay had, but anyway let's hope Jay stays!!!!!! Howard would be the other obvious option and I'd love him if DJ played him in the right way, a nuisance to any defender.

So there you have my wish list.

BRING BACK STEVEN THOMPSON \O/ :ayatollah:

Haha you might be right there, that was me looking desperately at who might come in.

Also you mentioned DeMerit as a free transfer but he plays in the MLS now.
