JONATHAN WOODGATE......

Thu Dec 30, 2010 9:53 am

Christ knows we need 2 strong, experienced centre halfs, BUT.....................

there is no way I would support this c@nt. Simply don't want him.

All the stick we give Marlon King and Lee Hughes and we look to sign a cock like Woodgate. May as well but a bid in for Bowyer, too !!

How about Dyer and Wright-Phillips.....

To be fair, there's a big difference between getting in a scrap in town against some gobby abusive cunts when you're a young, stupid and naive kid compared to beating up a woman who rejects your sleazy come ons when you're well into your 20s and heading towards 30. Can't even compare Woodgate and King in my opinion.

Personally, happy to see Woodgate here....

Bowyer?? And that would be a bad move why??

At least he'd fight and he ain't doing so bad in the Premiership despite his teams failings, is he??

Then again, not so sure he'd want to play with Woodgate again (unless someone can tell me they patched it up??)

Thats just daft. When he was a young lad he gets pissed up gets into trouble? f**k me I wouldnt
want you to interview me for a job

The only reason we should avoid Woodgate is because he is more likely to
break down injured than he is to play every week. Massive risk.

totally agree taffyapple. we need players who play games not in and out all time back fire on us big time.

What I think we need, given that we are only 5 months from promotion, are players who have been around the block a bit and the likes of Bellamy, Woodgate, Chimbonda and Vaughan are players who in my opinion match that criteria and could continue to play for us when we do reach the premiership.

There is simply no point, in my opinion, of signing an untested division 1 player on a 2 year contract only for him to play in the reserves when he is not good enough for premiership football. We therefore need to sign players who are, at this moment in time, capable of playing premiership football and therefore capable of getting us promoted in one of the top two positions.

The other reason we need players of this calibre is because you want to avoid the accusation of some players "not trying" because they know they cannot cut it in the premiership.

Woodgate has had injuries Im not denying that. But many years back so did Jimmy Case. I remember Brighton signing him up and watching him play at Ninian. The sort of guy that doesnt stand no messing and most certainly doesnt bottle out.
