I think it is the best we are gonna get for him to be honest mate - if VT is going to bank roll a few signings then Jay going and us having a better Centre half/Left Back/Central Midfielder/Striker and Right winger could make us a much tougher proposition. £2M for a current England cap though is cheap but that's the Clubs fault.

I don't know, I think it looks so obvious that Jay will go that he infact won't. There's nothing in it for him to go yet really - won't get the perks of moving on a free transfer such as massive signing on fee, higher wages (not to say they won't be high if he went in january).

I don't think he'd risk the limbo of moving to west ham/fulham because he could very well end up in the championship with us laughing down on him. Unless it is going to be a secure Premiership team then I think he will stay - and I believe a lot of the teams linked with him are fantasy (Manure, Chelsea etc watch dozens of players a week; them watching him means nothing). Every time a striker goes on a run in the Championship, they get linked with big money moves to the Premiership.

Then again, if it has been announced he reads the forum, and players aren't supposed to, then does that signify anything relating to him going

I don't think he will go at that price. If we get offered a million or two more then yes. However I think it is far more likely Chops will go out of the two. Thats where the cash lies.
