Totally Agree Annis, I listened to the game on the radio and it seemed to me if it wasn't for their keeper we should have put at least 5 past them and as you say that's without Jay (still like to see him stay though), stroll on Tuesday :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

Yeah, should have been 4 or 5 from what I was listening to. It's a myth that we need Jay, we just need to play to the strengths of the team that is picked.

I can believe it was too cold for him, with the injury he had. I can also believe that a bid is already in for him and they don't want to risk it. Time will tell.

Good win though.

Annis can't help but think you'd be just as happy to see City fail such is your dislike of DJ and though i don't know you personally i know enough to know you love the football club so your recent posts are very confusing .

Hi Annis, a newbie here ;) A mate was down the Vale last week for his works Christmas bash. He spoke to Jay, who told him he was out for 3 more weeks. Don't think he was winding me up either.

Very good team performance today and we have at last laid to rest this not winning on Boxing Day. Only really 1 team in it with Bellamy and McPhail being the pick although there were many really good performances today and as you say without Jay.

Most pleasing for me was the first sight of Chris Riggott and again I thought he did reakky well for a player who has missed so much football lets hope we can keep him fit he WILL make a big difference to our season.

Even better was the Jacks getting battered by QPR and that tw*t Tate getting his marching orders does it get better than that

I hope the players kick on from here we ALL know they are good enough we now need 4 from 6 from Watford & Wurzels :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

well if he does have a hamstring injury it would be daft at this stage to risk him, What about Burkey then Annis? what's happening with him? is he off? I would have played him today instead of Whitts. Ooops too late answered my Burkey question there

Annis i know you love the club, but you make it so obvious with this kind of post that you personally hate DJ, this is a sarcy post, and unwanted post in my opinion. We still got alot of work to do, Coventry were very very poor today.

If you look at the past, most teams in the championship who loose a play off final fall apart the season after, with DJ we have dramatically improved both the squad and the ambitions. All because he captured bellamy, coz without that signing which the team is basically the same as last year to be fair.

The team showed fight today, the desire to win. I looked at DJ after the final whistle and he hugged terry burton and was high fiving the staff, that result meant alot to him today, he feels the pain just like us.

Lets support the boys and stop with negativity, Our boys turned a corner today...I also think Jay will stay!!!

Yesterday we seemed to play a lot more along the floor, having Witts and McPhail both in midfield helped massively and also bellamy wide to stretch play and it worked. IMO its not a Jay replacement we need as we have quality forwards, we just need to be able to switch styles when he isnt playing like we did yesterday.

One man does not make a team.

We have lost Ledley but have added Oli, Koumas, Drinkwater, Keogh abnd Bellamy. Our fringe players are the ones that got us to the play offs and with our additions there is absolutely no reason why we should fall apart like others have done in the pass. Adding to this our opponents are not of the quality of WBA or Newcastle. Going deeper those clubs that were playing in the premier last season came down with no chance of bouncing back due to administration worries, Burnley excluded but they have a bigger worry in having Brian Laws as their manager. So the yo yo factor has been eliminated this season.

More I look at it the more I will say is how the hell can DJ fail?
