Yes it does. I was wondering whether the person spat at him BECAUSE he was a soldier.....or whether the man didn't know he was a soldier but took a dislike to him for whatever reason.

Its not excusable either way however. I was just wondering whether the guy knew he was a soldier. But as I've been informed, he did know.

Well said Dougie!! those who demonstrate in OUR country AGAINST OUR SOLDIERS with their banners as our troops march home should be shot on sight if we cant deport them.... make me sick !

Re: BBC news

Fri Dec 24, 2010 4:02 pm

we should have all the soldiers out there come home and if the muslims want to live in our country they should go out and fight to protect this country if they want to live here

Re: BBC news

Fri Dec 24, 2010 4:52 pm

Whoever did this is a knob, plain and simple. Plenty of white lower class knobs on benefits in caerphilly who would spit or take the piss out of a soldier in uniform if they came across them.

I saw a vast amount of 'muslims' wearing poppies in November, so they cant all be bad. If I was a Muslim, even if a Westernized one with a penchant for Fred Perry, how do you think I'd feel reading people saying they wanted to send me home? I'd be offended, hurt. As much as we'd all love to kill the threat of terrorism at the root, and play percentages by having no Muslim community for extremists to come from, deporting every single Muslim is verging on fascism. Fascists were another type who used to shit all over their country, to the level that they took it over.

I completely agree that on the whole, immigration needs to be sorted out, people need to start respecting and contributing to our country. I am completely against the wearing of clothes associated with religions, such as Islamic dress. I think Westernization should be a requirement. HOWEVER, Labelling ALL muslims in this country as terrorists or scum is as bad as the PC Brigade labelling our army as murderous because of one bad egg doing something wrong in war.....and if we start treating ALL Muslims as scumbags, we will have an even bigger problem to deal with. And that is not fair on our troops, on our country, on our way of life.

Re: BBC news

I forgot to say, the soldier should have been allowed to break the gimps nose at the least. Laws in this country would damage him, and that is not right at all.
