Football hooliganism is still there, but not at the level it was in years gone by. CCTV, internet and mobile phones have helped the police gather info and 90% of the time are on top of it. Also the banning orders and prison sentences tend to put many people off nowadays, whereas years ago you would get a whack with the truncheon and be on your way.
