I met him for the first time last Thursday to discuss the Academy feeder system with Annis, Carl and Big Gwyn and I have to say I was very impressed with him. The Academy was built by him in 14 weeks to a standard that is unbelievable and no expense spared with the fitting out. All this was done by him at his expense, he just bloody well got on with it to ensure that we could retain our Academy status.

He was enthusing about the youngsters coming through and was very grateful to our forum for offering to help with the funds for the development squads that feed into the Academy.

He doesn't court publicity and never seeks the limelight.

We owe this man a lot and I for one hope he remains on the board of our club.

Merry Xmas Steve to you and your family.
