SKY (LACK OF IT)

Chaps, Don't s'pose any of you are sky engineers, my sky has been out since friday night and it is now actually doing my head in, i phoned sky and they said they can get an engineer out in 2 weeks. So any help would be appreciated.

I had to go out on the roof the other night and wipe the snow off the dish

When you say out ,are you getting a no signal msg on the tv ?

Mine went off for a bit so I just went out with a brush an hit all the snow and ice off an now it's working fine

Yeh thats the message, i got the snow off the roof and it worked for one day, following morning it was off again, after numerous attempts of clearing the roof it still does not work.

if the box is not coming on, unplug from the back, take out the viewing CARD, keep your finger on the BACK UP button!!

keep it held untill you see all the flashing lights, then let go!!!

your box will do a re-set (you wont lose the recordings)

Once it comes back put the card in and all done

if it doesn't work the first time try more, took me 3 times

this is all a engineer will do
