Are iphone 3gs any good

i gt my son 1 for christmas he wanted the iphone 4 but out of stock everywhere so im wondering if they are any good

They've got good reviews (see links below) and I've had one for 18 months, but the battery is crap and I detest the fact that I have to synch everything to itunes!

Yeah.
Tbf you may as well wait until after xmas for the 4. I have one and they really are much better than the 3GS and are worth an extra 2 weeks wait

I work for o2, we got plenty in stock in Cardiff. Iphone 4 are so much better. I personally detest the iphone but go for the iphone 4, 3gs isn't worth the money. I can name at least 3 other phones that are cheaper and waaay better than 3gs. If you son is dead set on iphone, go for 4.

mrs frog i am looking for a tidy payg phone for mrs baz ie blackberry or similar what have you got costwise there???

We sell the Blackberry Curve for 150. Or if you arnt bothered by make, we have a Nokia C3 which is very similar to the Curve, apart from the fact it doesn't do Blackberry Messenger. And it comes in a lovely hot pink bargain at 80quid. Sony Ericcson X8 is decent aswell, 135 quid. Look at that, not even dressed for work yet, but I got my salesman cap on already

I've got a iPhone 3gs, it's great, you can update the software so it's similiar to the iPhone 4 anyway, the only drawbacks are the loss of the facetime feature you get with the 4.
Plus with the 3gs you don't get the reception issues that haunt the 4

There are other drawbacks with the 3GS, especially with the lack of bluetooth and if you like messing about with ringtones, then unless you pay a pretty penny to download them, you'll find it a pain to do your own!

The iphone is basically geared up, so that you have to do everything through itunes, which means that you have to buy most of the stuff you may need, either through them, or through the Apple website/shop!
